DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT

Dinosaur National Monument offers over 211,000 acres of spectacular high desert and canyon country. It is the legacy of past and present rivers. Preserved in the sands of an ancient river is the fossil bone deposit that gives the park it's name.

DINOSAUR QUARRY

  • Located 7 miles north of Jensen, Utah, this building is the only place in the park to see Dinosaur bones. Open daily throughout the year except January 1, Thanksgiving and December 25.

HEADQUARTERS VISITOR CENTER

  • Located two miles east of Dinosaur, Colorado on U.S. Highway 40, this center provides an informative slide program, exhibits, maps, and other information featuring self-guided scenic drives, guided walks and talks, hiking, camping, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, and white water rafting.

HARPER'S CORNER

  • A 31 mile drive to the north from Dinosaur, Harper's Corner allows you to experience unique views of the canyon lands, ending with a one mile nature walk featuring spectacular views of the confluence of the Yampa and Green Rivers 2,000 feet below.

CAMPGROUNDS

  • Split Mountain and Green River Campgrounds are developed and can accommodate most recreational vehicles (no hookups or sanitary dump stations). Primitive campgrounds include Echo Park, Gates of Lodore, Deerlodge, and Rainbow Park with drinking water available at Echo Park and Lodore.
